    ICYMI - WMC COVID-19 Webinar: Medical and Tourism Update: June 24th

    Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC), its trade association partners and local chambers invite you to a business coalition update call. The webinar featured Dr. Robert Golden, Dean of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and Vice Chancellor for Medical Affairs of UW-Madison. Dr. Golden provided a medical update on COVID-19 here in Wisconsin and updated listeners on COVID-19 . Additionally, as Wisconsinites gear up for the Independence Day holiday, attendees heard from a group of tourism experts on what to expect and what communities are doing to keep tourists safe and healthy.

    ICYMI - WMC COVID-19 Webinar: Returning to School this Fall: June 17th

    Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC), its trade association partners and local chambers hosted a business coalition update call. The webinar featured leaders from Wisconsin's educational institutions, including K-12, technical colleges and universities. The speakers highlighted what school might look like this fall and how they plan to reopen safely.

    Ray Cross, President of the UW-System and Rolf Wegenke, President of Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, gave updates on how Wisconsin colleges and universities plan to open schools in the fall. They also gave updates on procedures that will most likely be in place as well as what to expect if you or someone you know is returning to school.

     Following, John Will, President of Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College, gave an update on how technical colleges have been affected by COVID-19 and how technical colleges are trying to recover and adapt to the new changes and safety measures needed following the pandemic. Lastly, John Ashley, Executive Director of Wisconsin Association of School Boards spoke about how schools can return as soon as possible while remaining safe and protecting students and faculty.

    Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC), its trade association partners and local chambers hosted a business coalition update call. The webinar featured U.S. Rep. Ron Kind, who represents the 3rd District in western Wisconsin. The call also featured John Koskinen, Chief Economist for the Wisconsin Department of Revenue, who reviewed the Department's latest economic forecast.
